India is well-known for its high mountain ranges, mountains, valleys, the Himalayas, and the Western Ghats region, all of which are ideal for paragliding. As a result, tandem paragliding in the Kamshet area is one of the best places in India for paragliding. Kamshet is 110 kilometres from Mumbai, 45 kilometres from Pune, and 18 kilometres from Lonavala.

Kamshet paragliding Pune is located in the Western Ghats, so the surrounding area is high mountainous, which is why many take-off sites for paragliding require a short walk. The climate is hot and semi-arid, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 26°C. Kamshet is 670 metres above sea level.

Paragliding height

Kamshet has four paragliding locations. Tower Hill (East and West), Shelar Hill, and Pawna Hill are all nearby. Tower Hill’s take-off point is 900 metres above sea level or 230 metres above the ground. Furthermore, Shelar Hill’s take-off point is 720 metres above sea level.

The only reason is Kamshet’s favourable paragliding environment. Kamshet has become the “best place for paragliding in India”. The paraglider is intended to be decent, but after taking off from paragliding Kamshet Lonavala, we can go higher in the sky by increasing altitude. Otherwise, after takeoff, we simply descend from the sky and land on the ground, which is only possible due to wind conditions.

We can see mountains, valleys, rivers, streams, forts, large dams, green gar, and dense bushes while paragliding in Kamshet. And, yes, you can enjoy the unforgettable experience of watching the sunset while paragliding in Pune.

Best time for paragliding

Because the monsoon season lasts from June to October, paragliding in Kamshet Pune is available from mid-October to the last week of May. The pink-cold months are November and December. From October to January, the air flows east to west. Flying is only possible early in the morning because the flyable wind conditions required for paragliding are only available from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in winter.

The air conditions are smooth and thermic between December and January, allowing for good altitude gain while flying. During these months, it is not uncommon to spend the entire day flying. From February to May, the wind blows from west to east, the air from the sea is cold, and the wind speed can be quite high.

In the summer, the flyable wind blows after 0:03 pm, so evening flying occurs from around 0:04 pm to sunset. The thrill of soaring through the air at such a time is unparalleled.
